As the smallest Parish by area in Louisiana, West Baton Rouge Parish was founded in 1807 and is home to over 24,000 residents. Sugarcane has long been a staple of West Baton Rouge Parish, exemplified by the famous “Sugarfest” held every year in the parish, where both locals and tourists come together to satiate their sugar cravings.

Motor vehicle collisions were responsible for nearly 68,000 injuries and over 660 deaths in Louisiana in 2013 alone.
