Red River Parish

Red River Parish is located in the northwest region of Louisiana and was founded in 1871 during the Reconstruction Era after the United States Civil War. The parish is named after the Red River, which is one of the largest river basins in the southern Great Plains. Nearly 9,000 residents call home to Red River Parish and the parish seat is located in the city of Coushatta. With numerous water bodies and large forests scattered throughout the area, the parish is a hotspot for avid hunters and fishermen. Part of the Red River National Wildlife Refuge is located in the parish. Red River Parish is neighbors with Bossier Parish to the north and De Soto Parish to the west.

Motor vehicle accidents are commonplace in today’s society and can happen anywhere and at any time. Roughly 68,500 residents were injured in car crashes in Louisiana in 2013 and an additional 668 lives were lost. The circumstances surrounding vehicular accidents can oftentimes become complex, making it difficult to determine who exactly is responsible for the resulting damages. It is pertinent for anyone involved in a motor vehicle accident to immediately consult with a skilled personal injury attorney in order to protect their rights and determine liability.

Red River Parish Motor Vehicle Accident Statistics:
