Caddo Parish

The third most-populated parish in all of Louisiana, Caddo Parish has a population of roughly 257,000 residents as of 2013. Founded in 1838, the parish was named after the Caddo Native American Nation. Located in the northwest corner of Louisiana, Caddo Parish shares its borders with nine separate parishes/counties, including counties in both Texas and Arkansas, most out of any parish in Louisiana. The parish seat is located in Shreveport, which is also the parish’s largest city, home to over 200,000 people. Shreveport is named in honor of Henry Miller Shreve, an inventor and steamboat captain who helped open the Mississippi River and Red River to steamboat navigation.

Motor vehicle collisions were responsible for over 68,000 injuries and nearly 600 deaths in Louisiana in 2013 alone. Drunk-driving is a deadly epidemic that continues to sweep our nation and is responsible for countless tragedies every year. In 2013, 3,200 people were injured in alcohol-related crashes and another 251 were killed in these senseless tragedies. If you or a loved one suffered injuries due to a collision with a drunk driver, an experienced personal injury attorney can guide you through the claims process and fight in court to hold that drunk driver liable for his reckless actions.
